# Staking

Snark $SNRK holders can stake their tokens and get access several benefits:

* Sales (Private and Public IDOs)
* Governance
* Airdrops
* Higher Affiliate Earnings

$SNRK tokens can be staked into the staking page to earn rewards A portion of revenue is used to buy back and distributed to stakers.

Staked $SNRK requires 1 week time to un-stake and be claimable. \
\
Once you initiate the un-staking process, your token will be linearly unlocked over 1 weekk. During this period, there will be no yield generated and the tokens cannot be used to participate any action.

Users also have the option to instantly withdraw but it comes with a penalty of 20%. \
\
Which means Snark will take a fee representing 20% of the staked position in $SNRK token. \
\
This fee will be added to the DAO revenue, and be used to rewards the remaining stakers.

APY for staking is displayed with last week's APY and also cumulative APY (year to date). Due to many factors, the APY is indicative and will not reflect future performance.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://snark-launch.gitbook.io/snark-launch/the-snark-launch-platform/staking.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
